"The driver called me the first time 8min before the pick up time and advised that he was waiting outside the hotel gate, which was 10min walk away from the hotel. He called again at the pick up time and said he can only wait for 5mins as he has another job coming up. I said that according to the booking terms, 15min waiting time is included but he kept insisting that he can only wait for 5 mins. 5mins after the pick up time, he called again and said that he can wait for 5 more minutes but it will cost us £5 more. I once again said that 15min waiting time should be included in the booking according to the terms. In the end, the driver left 10min after the pick up time, and we had to pay for a ride that never happened as the driver didn't comply with the booking terms."

When I finally got through to someone, they said it was too late to cancel so there would be no refund. No one had checked the voicemail messages. They said they would not even tell the driver that I would not be there. I asked them several times to to do so and they eventually agreed. However they did not contact the driver so he was unable to find alternative work. "

Despite that the journey took longer than predicted and it was forunutate that we had built in enough time by booking well in advance. Thsats the only reason for a 4* rather than 5* rating. I have not added a tip below as I have already tipped him with cash (£5) at the end of the journey."

"Our flight was delayed and trains cancelled so we arrived 25 minutes later than anticipated. I contacted the numbers provided to let them know and check all would be fine. I was told it was but there would be a £10 charge to change the booking. The driver then called me to find out where we were as the message had not been passed on. The car and driver were not as expected. The car was dusty and did not look or feel particularly clean. The driver stayed in the car while we put our own luggage in the boot. He also appeared unaware that I had prepaid. This experience is not what I would have expected for an “executive minicab”. The return driver was on time and the car was much better (although not a Mercedes. Car clean and driver got out to meet us and load luggage. The driver told us that as we had booked a Mercedes (which his car was not) then I would get a refund. I was given a refund of £10 which was the cost of the change (not our fault due to plane and train routes). I paid £141 for a return trip return trip in an executive minicab, which I did not get. "

"Really quite a disappointing experience, booked taxi day before for £57 and received an email the next day that it has been cancelled without any reason as to why. I ring the company up and ask why and was told there arent any cars available. I ask the person on the phone are there any taxis available around the time I requested and all of sudden there is the same taxi available at the same time I originally requested it for. The only difference is that it is over £30 more expensive. £88 for a taxi before midnight is exploitation and clearly wanted to charge more than your site originally quoted. Not only that but the driver turned up 30 mins early, wasn’t helpful and refused at first to change the first dropoff destination, I asked him to swap the destination to somewhere closer and he kept saying no. Only till we told him how much we’re paying and still not getting a good service he agreed."

He also sped on several parts of the journey, often driving too close to other cars. He was also using his phone (for sat nav) whilst driving which was unnerving. We were glad to get home in one piece but won't be leaving a tip for the driver - except maybe to slow down!! "

"After finding out a friend had tested positive for covid who was supposed to be travelling with us on the day of the trip, they would not refund any of the pre-paid £202 booking fee. This is extremely frustrating. I spent hours on the phone to someone who was very rude and unhelpful. The trip was cancelled 5 hours in advance of the collection with the main office. They then failed to tell the driver who still arrived to collect us who then got angry with my wife when he found out the trip was cancelled. Very very poor service, would not use this service again or recommend anyone to! Disgusting service."

"Firstly, I tried to cancel this trip, literally a few hours after booking it as i was offered a lift by a friend, only to be told point blank i would get zero refund. On this basis alone, i will never use the company again. I then was waiting outside the station with no taxi, checked my emails and realised there was no indication of the car/number plate/driver i should expect to see. I tried the 2 contact numbers from my confirmation email. One just rang through multiple times. The other got through to a drunk sounding woman who put the phone down on me straight away. Whilst in the middle of trying to arrange alternative transport, i get a call from a random number to say my taxi is on its way. The driver, who was nice enough to be fair to him, then clearly tried to make up for lost time by driving uncomfortably fast around blind country lanes. In summary, it got me from A to B, not cheaply, and with the worst customer service i have experienced in a long time. Terrible company. Never again "

Got a dirty car inside and out with a scruffy driver wearing jeans and baseball cap. The fully liveried taxi arrived half an hour late, driver didn't have the courtesy to apologise or even open the car door for the bride and her mother got, lost on the way to the venue and had to ask the bride to navigate!!! Ruined the start to the wedding. Totally unprofessional. Failed to reply to my complaint in line with their own policy and have now refused a refund. I have to give 1 star as it won't allow me to give less. And this is only half the story......USELESS."

"I had booked my journey for my husband well in advance. He was booked to be collected from my mother in laws house at 12.30am. At 12.10am my husband received a call whilst still travelling asking where he and the other passengers were as he was at the property and there was no one there. Had he knocked on the door he would have realised my mother in door was inside awake, so the lights were on. She could have then explained that he was 20 minutes early. I then get a message from my husband to say that the taxi has been cancelled / despite paying £60 upfront! After several attempts between us we finally made contact with the taxi company. After a lot of toing and froing the taxi driver agreed to still collect them but from a different collection point. They made it home in good time, but a lot of unnecessary distress was caused. Not impressed with MTA taxis and will not be booking with them again. "

"Drivers arrived on time. That's about the only positive aspect I can remember. We had expected a Mercedes Viano as per the booking (paid a little extra for a larger vehicle as this was a special occasion), but the vans used were cramped and uncomfortable with only 6 seats, 3 of which were tip-up. The outbound taxi had music on at full blast in the passenger section and the driver was totally uninterested in us. Meet and greet? He didn't even know where we were going. We had to bang on the glass and ask for the music to be turned down. We were then driven at breakneck speed to the destination. The return journey was nothing short of terrifying, we were hurtled around windy, wet roads, and on two occasions overtaking manoeuvres were made that were nothing short of reckless. As the event organiser I was highly embarrassed to have subjected my guests to such an experience. I had expected something better for the price. £120 to travel 25 miles with no regard to curtesy, comfort or safety. Needless to say I will not be using this service again."
